The Forerunner 735 XT has a huge range of apps that it can connect to. Garmin Connect is the standard and natively supported app, which can be used to store and view a wide range of data from activities, and also upload and plan routes and workouts. The Forerunner 35 also offers mechanical buttons, making it easier to quickly and accurately control the device during a workout. Another significant benefit is battery life. The Forerunner 35 can last up to nine days without charge, while most smartwatches with a color display require charging every two days.
The 735XT’s battery life for its Smartwatch and Ultratrac™ modes goes up to 11 days and 24 hours respectively. The 745 only reaches 7 days and 21 hours for those same categories but holds a strong 16 hours when in GPS mode, while the 735XT only reaches 14 hours.
I actually brought a Garmin watch to several dive watch repair shops, and all refused the job as they said they could not guaranty the seal. Battery Life after Latest Upgrade. I've had my 735 for about 1.5 yrs and I am suddenly experiencing battery life issues. I did a 68 mile ride the other day, and the battery only lasted 4.5 hrs which means it ran out before I finished. Today, I ran for 2:35 and it was down to 23% at the end of the run - and it was fully charged at the start.
