For that sensor fault code the problem is more likely with the hub not with the sensor nor with it's circuit. For the connector it's enough to treat it with electrical contact spray, IMO it's not a very usefull thing to hardwire the sensor cos then each time you buy a hub you'll have to cut the wires.
